As businesses have migrated their applications and IT infrastructure from data centers to the public cloud, financial planning and budgeting has become exceedingly challenging.  Predictable capital investments have become variable expenses influenced by engineering team's code. To tackle this challenge, FinOps, a practice of aligning engineering practices to business outcomes, has emerged as a necessary collaborative practice to bring collaborative, predictability, and increase the value of cloud investments.
